Instructional Design Specialist

Kelley Gonzales is the Instructional Design Specialist for the National Center for Spectator Sports and Security. She will primarily be responsible for the coordination and development of online training programs and curriculum design. Kelley comes to NCS4 with over twenty years of experience in education that includes teaching and administration on the secondary, post-secondary and higher education levels. On the administrative level, she has served as an Office Director for the Mississippi Department of Education in the Office of School Improvement and Director of Instructional Technology for the School of Nursing at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. At MDE her focus was providing technical assistance and professional development to district and school administrators in the areas of curriculum and instruction, leadership, and community engagement in an effort to improve student achievement. As the Director of Instructional Technology at UMMC, Kelley developed and delivered professional development, coordinated the acquisition, installation and implementation of innovative technologies, served as the technology liaison for curriculum development, established policies and procedures for technology use in the department, and composed and directed the implementation of a comprehensive technology plan. Her instructional forte is business and computer technology with heavy emphasis in instructional technology and curriculum design.

Ms. Gonzales acquired a Bachelor’s degree from Mississippi College in Business Administration and a Master’s degree from Mississippi State University in Instructional Technology. She is currently a doctoral candidate in the Department of Curriculum, Instruction and Special Education at The University of Southern Mississippi.
