NCS4 Connect Code of Conduct

NCS4 Connect Code of Conduct

Welcome to NCS4 Connect, the National Center for Spectator Sports Safety and Security’s
(NCS4) membership program. NCS4 Connect was designed to help expand your knowledge,
pursue professional development, and acquire the necessary skills to stay at the forefront of
your profession. We are pleased to offer you a dedicated space to align with leaders and
other professionals where you can discuss topics, ask questions, and share ideas relevant
to the spectator sports safety and security industry.

We are committed to hosting a space where our actions align with our vision and mission.
Our Mission – We support the sports and entertainment industries through innovative
research, training, and outreach programs. Our mission is realized by working closely with
diverse organizations and subject matter experts to better understand the threat
environment, identify vulnerabilities, communicate risk-mitigation techniques, and close
capability gaps. Our Vision – We will be a leading partner with government, private sector,
and sports and entertainment organizations to create and deliver critical resources for
enhancing safety and security.

We developed the NCS4 Connect Code of Conduct to outline how to engage with other users
in the community and what you should expect from others. Please take a few moments to
familiarize yourself with these important guidelines. Ask questions about community
guidelines, report violations, and share ideas and feedback using the Contact Us link.

Community Guidelines
• Be courteous at all times. Discussions and comments are meant to drive conversation
and should not be used to attack or challenge others.
• Do not post commercial messages in forums or libraries. Contact people directly with
product or service information if you believe it would help them.
• Use caution when discussing products and services. The information posted in the
forums and libraries is available to all members, and comments are subject to libel,
slander, and antitrust laws.
• Any defamatory, abusive, profane, threatening, offensive or illegal language or materials
are strictly prohibited.
• Post messages or documents only to the most appropriate forums or libraries. Do not
spam several forums or libraries with the same message.
• Do not post any copyrighted material without express written permission from the
copyright owner.
• All messages must contribute to the body of knowledge. The NCS4 reserves the right to
reject or delete any message for any reason.

Discussion Group Etiquette
• Include a signature line with your name and organization on all messages.
• State the topic of your message clearly and concisely in the subject line. Doing so allows
members to quickly identify if they might offer insight into your topic and makes it easier
for members to search archives by subject.
• Only send a message to the entire list when it contains information that could benefit
anyone.
• Send messages like “Me too,” “Thanks for the information,” etc. to individuals, not the
entire list. Do this by using the Reply to Sender link on the post.
• Do not send administrative messages like “Remove me from the list.” Instead, change
your profile settings or remove yourself from the list.
• Remember to contact us if you need assistance from the NCS4.
