A computer-based modeling, simulation, and visualization tool has been developed through a Grant from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to aid decision making in the overall sport safety and security management process.
The Sport Evac Training System can be used to:
• Allocate and manage personnel and physical resources in and around the venue
• Validate and/or develop plans (evacuation, crisis communication etc.)
• Import existing emergency plans, procedures etc.
• Clarify unified roles and responsibilities
• Conduct sport stadium, arena and track evacuation and other emergency plan analyses
• Enhance interagency coordination and communication
